The history of The Chater a resort style accommodation at Mae Tang , Chiang mai
In the past, the nowadays area of The Chateau was once owned by Grandpa Jum who is a friend of Grandpa Ma during that time this area was terraced rice fields for several years then Grandpa Ma decided to buy the land for agricultural reason particularly cultivating terraced rice fields.
Grandma Ma married with Grandpa Ta. The couple continued to do agricultural products as a main source for feeding their children. Some of the products was kept for consumption and the rest was used as a trade product with other neighbors. Because of the local lifestyle in the past, Money was not a big deal. Most of people lived their life by trading the products with others. The couple had a son who is called Brother To. Since then their son helped them to cultivate in the fields from his younger ages until he grew up. Once the time passed, Grandma Ma changed the land from terraced rice fields into Lychee fields.
After that for a while, the land was transformed again into a resort style accommodation "The Chateau" which came from the name of brother To. This resort is ideal for guests who want to reside amid the wonderful natural environment (the area is surrounded by nature and mountains). Moreover, Its location is close to the famous water source of Mae Tang "Gaeng Gued"
